General-purpose AI is already significantly impacting the world and many aspects of life - and will have an even greater influence in the future. Its governance will shape how this power is developed, distributed and applied.
Our mission is to contribute by developing the talent pool working on these challenges, providing routes into AI policy careers for exceptional students. We are particularly focussed increasing diversity and representation in the field, and bridging the gap between technical and policy expertise.

Meet The Team
The Orion Initiative (formerly AI Governance Fast Track) is a project by Arcadia Impact, a London-based charity focussed on creating pathways into impactful careers addressing global challenges.
Funding
Our programmes are primarily funded by Open Philanthropy, and the internship programme also receives contributions from the internship placement organisations.
